The Frankfurt consular region consists of five German Federal States: Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Wuerttemberg, the Free State of Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia.

Cash Payment at the Consulate is Prohibited

This is to inform all applicants that CASH PAYMENT IS PROHIBITED at the Consulate General of Nigeria, Frankfurt.

ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE PROPERLY RECEIPTED.

The Consulate General will not be responsible for refunds of any cash payment made.

 

Suspension of Visa Activities

 

In view of the CORONA-VIRUS PANDEMIC, The General Public is hereby informed that the Nigeria Visa Center  (VFS) at  Gartenstrasse 6, 60594, Frankfurt am Main  has temporarily suspended the processing of Nigeria visa applications from 16th March, 2020 until further notice.

Kindly note that a new date for commencement of visa services shall be communicated accordingly.

Please, note that online payments for visa and passports still remain the same.

Processing of  of Passport Temporarily Suspended

This is to notify all passport applicants that from 2nd July 2021, till further notice, processing of passport is temporarily suspended due to technical problems.

Applicants with appointment from the above stated period are advised not to travel down to the consulate in Frankfurt but wait for further notice to be published on this website on processing of passport.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Processing of Nigerian Standard Passport is only by appointment, applicants are advised to follow the guidelines below.

 

GUIDELINES FOR PASSPORT APPOINTMENTS:

Applicants are requested to send all required application documents via Email: nis.frankfurt@gmail.com.

Appointment date and time will be sent to applicants that have completed documents by Email.

Please note that you are required to bring along all your application documents to the Consulate on the day of your appointment.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, all necessary protocols are to be maintained strictly

Passport Collection:

Passport collection is on Consulate open days Monday to Thursday from 11 am – 3 pm (11:00 – 15:00). This is to be observed strictly.

Passport Re-Issue

Applicants will be sent an email, bring your old passport and copy of the email with you for collection, please.

 

Fresh Passport

Applicants will be sent an email, bring your birth certificate, certificate of origin and copy of the email with you for collection.

 

Minor

Applicants will be sent an email, bring the birth certificate of the child, parent’s passport and copy of the email with you for collection of child’s passport.
